The lovable and impish Sukhi of RANG DE BASANTI is overjoyed with the fact that the film has made it to the Oscars. "It's a wonderful feeling and a rewarding moment for all of us. It's a great victory for Ronnie, Rakeysh and the entire cast and crew of RDB," raves Sharman.
What does he feel about OMKARA, LAGE RAHO...and the other contenders in this category? "I've seen both the films. It's indeed amazing the way Indian cinema is churning out quality films in a year's time. I'm glad that RDB has been chosen and I just hope it makes it to the top 5," he adds excitedly.
On the work front, he has Anurag Basu's METRO and Raj Kanwar's RAQUEEB. Kangana Ranaut plays his love interest in METRO. "As the title suggests, METRO is set in one of the metros - Mumbai - in our film. It's about the lives of people living in the city. It focuses on urban relationships and the way people juggle roles. I play this character who's torn between his hectic lifestyle and work and how he loses himself in the bargain," reveals Sharman.
"RAQUEEB is a social thriller also starring Jimmy Shergill, Rahul Khanna and Tanushree Dutta. I play an office going guy who's in the process of climbing the corporate ladder. He is like still learning the ropes of business," he signs off.
