Recently actress Katrina Kaif visited Khwaja Moinudeen Chishti's shrine at Ajmer, however not as a devotee but she was there with co-star Rishi Kapoor for the shooting of Vipul Shah's ‘Namaste London', and she had worn a skimpy skirt, which however didn't go well with the other devotees, present there at that time. They objected that Katrina entered into the shrine wearing western outfits, which did not cover her legs completely. According to them Katrina was there when a large number of people were offering their prayers, and also her presence disrupted silence inside the shrine as people jostled with each other to get a glimpse of her. As per tradition, women offering prayers in the shrine must have their head, hands and legs covered.
The devotees are now all blaming Sayed Mohin Hussain Chisti, secretary of Anjuman, a representative body of Khadims because the film was being shot in his presence and he didn't object.
Chisti denying the allegation said, “Due to the presence of large number of people, I could not see the dress worn by Katrina. I was at a distance and it looked to me as if she was wearing a full dress.”
