Kareena Kapoor is not sitting idle during her time off from films. Besides losing weight, she has also mended her relationship with boyfriend Shaahid Kapoor's mother Neelima Azim.One year back, the grapevine was abuzz with news of Kareena's fights with Neelima. In fact, Neelima even went to the press attributing her estrangement with son Shaahid to Kareena. The actress was also accused of forcing Shaahid to live away from his mother. Soon after, Shaahid became close to his father Pankaj Kapoor. Now married to Supriya Pathak, Pankaj became like family to Kareena as well. However, back then, both Shaahid and Kareena chose to remain silent.
Now, a year later, Kareena seems willing to talk about Shaahid's family and her alleged feud with Neelima for the first time. She, however, refuses to dwell on what transpired between the two in the past, and says, "I would rather reserve my comments on that. The past is past and I am not going to give it any importance by refuting all those stories. I am very much on talking terms with Neelima aunty, and she is a sweet woman," she says.
Sources close to Shaahid Kapoor say, "There were some differences initially, but over the year they have sorted them out. Kareena hardly interferes in Shaahid's family matters and it seems that she has found acceptance as Shaahid's girlfriend. They plan to get married after five years."
Kareena says that she spends time with Neelima Azim when Shaahid is busy shooting abroad. "Shaahid's mom is like family to me. I don't think that Neelima aunty has any problem with me now. We hang around together, and eat out often," she says.
"I think Supriya aunty is the best cook on earth. We meet her often and she makes amazing home-made food. That's also the reason why we don't prefer to eat outside. I am also fond of Pankaj uncle," says Kareena. Recently, Kareena accompanied Pankaj and Supriya on a vacation to Europe. "It was so much fun," she says.
Kareena seems to be surprised by the news of Shaahid buying his dream house at Versova. She says, "Shaahid needs to work for some more time, and then plan his own house. We are in no hurry to shift. I think we all enjoy each other's company."
