Can I have your autograph?, requests a young girl from Harman Baweja. Who was more surprised, was a sight to see. The fan on seeing Harman or Harman on being asked for an autograph, is a good question.
After hastily scribbling his signature and thanking Amita Kulkarni, a flushed Harman returned to his vanity van. The actor was shooting for his film Victory at Haji Ali. After witnessing that scene, I began to tease Harman. The debutant actor replied, You know I was shooting a month back and nobody recognized me. One film magazine cover and a song later, and I am recognized. Its an outstanding emotion. I feel blessed.”
The crowds began to swell by the time we came out of his van. Amidst chants of Harman Harman, the young actor walked to his set. Feeling quite embarrassed at all the attention, Harman reveals, “I feel so good and I hope the people will love my film. My father has worked so hard to make this film. Love Story 2050 is a gmable and the best platform a son could get to step into the Indian film industry. Now, I really want to make him proud.”
After excusing himself to prepare for the shot, I observed Harman. Attentive to his director, Harma retired to a corner to rehearse for the shot. Five minutes later, he was back on the set giving a perfect one take shot. Soon he made his way to the monitor to check for himself. After ensuring that the shot was good for the director, Harman got busy for his next dialogue delivery.
Sitting afar watching the proceedings, I wondered to myself, would he be the next big thing to hit Bollywood.
