We asked our in-house web-spert to give the lowdown on what’s hot and what’s not on her website
Shilpa Shetty recentlylaunched her website www.shilpashettylive.com. We got web expert Nirvaan Biswas to visit the site and tell us what he made of Shetty’s worldwide web debut.
Says Nirvaan, “The website has efficient design and pleasing colour tones. The tie-up with YouTube was a good idea. The website has a welcome message clip for all visitors, which is very innovative. The smartest feature of the website is that people can download her pictures and wallpapers on their iPhones, which is a brilliant thing to do. None of the other B-Town people have this feature on their sites.
Shetty’s target audience seems to be the NRIs as they have iPhones and it is still not officially available in India. The phones will launch later this year and then people here will be able to enjoy this smart feature as well.
Nirvaan feels that the website is not interactive. The only way fans can get close and personal to Shilpa is via email. Other Bollywood personalities who have websites, have blogs, chats and other mediums of interaction with their fans. Shilpa’s site has come after the whole Bollywood blogging boom and she should’ve incorporated that on her site.”
The major letdown on her website is that she only has a one-page website and if she wants to gain more popularity on the web she should tell get more pages quickly and fill it up with tons of content and sexier pictures of hers,” concludes Nirvaan.
