New Don is more cruel: SRK

It is same basic story but Producer Ritesh Sidhwani and Director Farhan Akhtar have made the film contemporary, infused more reality into the plot and packaged it more as a slick Hollywood style thriller that will appeal to Generation Y rather than a traditional low tech Bollywood Dhisum and Aah! fare. Don't be taken in by the word reality though. It is still reel reality not real reality. For example, Priyanka Chopra who makes a cameo appearance in the film, in the role that Helen essayed in the original, undertook a special martial arts training program for the film. However, I doubt the training made her lethal in unarmed combat! Talking about the new Don with Z-News Shahrukh Khan, 40, said, "It is not just difficult to catch the new Don, it is impossible!" He wasn't joking, of course, because the new Don is inclined to jump out of aircraft flying at 15,000 ft.! Farhan Akhtar reportedly got Hollywood's Joe Jennings to help him film the stunt for the film. Khan said tweaks to the script have made it very interesting in a manner that will readily appeal to even those who have seen the original film. However, he said, “The style of the music is different. Style of shooting is different. Style of designing is different." Judging by the tease trailers of the film the style is definitely different - slick and quick paced like Farhan’s Dil Chata Hai and Lakshya The music for Don is releasing on 26 Aug 2006. The film itself is set for release this Diwali along with two other big budget fares - Jaaneman and Umrao Jaan.

How Ash managed to do that?

Going by Dhoom 2 Director Sanjay Gadhvi’s revelations Aishwarya Rai has made acrobatic assertions during the making of his film. He remarked that the comely lass trained for months for the action sequences in his pet project. “Ash has a lot of guts. She has done some awesome stunts in the film. She did power yoga for two months and has a perfectly toned body,” Gadhvi exulted in a newspaper interview. However, Gadhvi did not divulge details about the stunts in Dhoom 2 nor did her reveal much about the plot. The most he would let on is that it is a fast-paced cops and robbers movie. He however disclosed that the Dhoom sequel is slated for release later this year, and that it is “bigger, better” and “faster and more furious” than the original. The movie, which was filmed in Namibia, South Africa and India also stars Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu.
