    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
It seems actress Aishwarya Rai loves to be in news. She is making buzz again not through controversies, but for making a place in top ten sexiest celebrity bodies. It is believed that she beat Halle Berry, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears and Madonna on a list of 101 sexiest celebrity bodies. Her other competitors include Angelina, Brad Becks, Beyonce. However, Aishwarya's International manager is not revealing Aishwarya's rank in the list. Well, it's really hard to say, who rates highest?

King Khan storms Delhi

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
Finally the day arrived when Delhi got a chance to have a dekko at Shah Rukh Khan, who performed at his home ground for the first time ever. And weren't the Delhites simply enthralled!
In a scintillating performance that enthralled packed-to-capacity Indira Gandhi indoor stadium, King Khan and his fellow performers - ravishing Rani Mukherjee, zippy Zayed Khan, perky Priyanka Chopra and ecstatic Esha Deol kept everyone on their toes. And yes, there was Indian Idol Abhijeet Sawant and the voice of Nikki - Shweta Pandit - of Neal N Nikki fame who kept the 'halla' going.
In a show that had SRK as the main star, one expected a much delayed start to the event. But it was a pleasant experience for the crowd as it began with just about a 40 minutes delay from the expected beginning. And no, the show didn't end before time! In fact it went beyond the planned end time to give Dilliwaasis a complete paisa vasool experience.
As expected, King Khan ruled the show as he also took over as the show's MC. But more about that later as lesser stars like Abhijeet and Shweta too made their presence felt. Abhijeet was in his usual 'Mohabbatein Lutaaoonga' mode and though he performed decently, one thought that he would have something newer and better to offer. But it was Shweta who took the breath away with all the cheers and hooting going around in her support. She came up with a tremendous performance and mesmerized the audience with her naughty'n'exciting songs.
With all this happening around them, how could stars be far behind? Youthful and excited as ever, newly married Zayed Khan hardly gave an indication that he had any plans to be out of attention from the PYTs [pretty young things]. He was at his teasing best and made the youngsters dance along with him. The lighting was just perfect, the sound was just right, the ambience was simply inviting and lo - the stage was set for Zayed to come up with an electrifying show.
The girl brigade of Rani, Priyanka and Esha were not pushovers either with each of them giving ample support to SRK, who was the center of attraction of one and all. With Esha continuing to have the audience jive to the beats of 'Dhoom Machale', SRK soon stormed the stage to dominate the proceedings. And this was the moment that audience in thousands was always waiting for!
His performance was not just a song'n'dance routine. In fact it got much more personal. He invited folks from the audience to join him in the proceedings that formed the most exciting part of the proceedings. He single handedly took charge of the stage and created a rocking feel all around. Whether it was a 10 year old kid or a 50 year old businessman, everyone was just overwhelmed by the power of THE KHAN.
This is what two corporate folks Shefali Agrawal [30] and Vikrant Gupta [32] had to say about his performance - "We saw him in movies and we saw in ads. And we knew he is a star. And now when we saw him in action, we know why he is a SUPERSTAR!"
Yes Shahrukh, you won over the Delhites all over again. And we know you would be back.
    Great show!

Priyanka's dream boy......!

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
If that's not love then what; insiders saying Abhishek-Priyanka went simply crazy on each other on the sets of Rohan Sippy's 'Bluffmaster'. However the thing haven't yet borne fruit but Priyanka is keen on catching up the man of her choice, especially after her break up with Herman Baweja. It seems Priyanka will not give his dream boy to go away so easily.

Kareena rubbishes rumours of her father's illness

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
Kareena Kapoor is upset over media reports that her father Randhir Kapoor is very ill and suffering from a severe foot infection.
"He isn't ill," says the actress agitatedly.
"He's diabetic. So he went for his routine annual check-up.I accompanied him. That's it," Kareena told IANS.
Her father, a well-known former actor, was hospitalised Nov 29 at Breach Candy Hospital here, after he went for a regular check-up for his diabetes. According to some media reports, he also has a bad gangrene infection in his foot and doctors say it might have to be amputated.
Refuting the rumours, Kareena said: "Arrey, it was just a routine check- up! Nothing else. Why are the TV channels blowing it out of all proportion?"
Close on the heels of Amitabh Bachchan's hospitalisation for a stomach ailment, some news channels chose to flash the news of Randhir Kapoor's visit to the hospital.
"The press may find it interesting to create news. But at least there should be some truth behind the claims specially when we're discussing something as delicate as people's health?" Kareena said.
Quashing rumours of a film with her dad, she said: "He hasn't asked me to do one. And I don't think he has any plans of making a film"

Complete bed rest for Shahid

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
Shahid is down with conjunctivitis. "I had this eye infection for some time. I kept ignoring it, kept shooting for Abbas-Mustan's 36 China Town because the dates were so packed-in. That aggravated my eye problem. Now it's got so bad that the doctors have forced me to be bed-ridden completely until my condition improves. My personal doctor has even warned the unit to not let me go anywhere near the shooting. Now I've no choice but to stay at home when I need to go out there to promote my two films Shikhar and Vah Life Ho To Aisi which open within a week of each other."Shahid is upbeat about the releases. "Shikhar is a morality tale. What you'd expect to see next from the director of Sarfarosh. It pitches me against Ajay Devgan. He plays a guy ready to go to any lengths to achieve what he has to, while I'm the seedha-sadha bhola-bhala ideologue."Shahid is very excited about his role in Vaah Life Ho To Aisi . "It goes completely with my lover-boy image…you know, soft gentle boy next-door…I'm with a bunch of kids.I loved every moment of my shooting with them. That automatically adds value-incentive to the product. If the kids identify with the project, the parents naturally follow into theatres."Shahid is very excited about being in a film where he shares the credits with children. "Mr India is one of my favourite films. Though Vah Life Ho To Aisi isn't similar in theme I love the idea of acting with kids. I felt like one of them."What went wrong with Shahid Kapoor's role in Deewane Huey Paagal ? Most members of the audience missed a stronger presence from Shahid."Isn't that the biggest compliment ? The fact that audiences think I'm not there as much they wanted or expected is a compliment enough. This was my first release in nearly a year since Ananth Mahadevan's Yeh Dil Maange More. Audiences seemed to expect to see more of me. I like that. But for me Deewane Huey Paagal is done with."Now Shahid looks forward to two films on two Fridays. "Is that an over-dose of me in the theatres? We shall soon find out," Shahid has his fingers crossed.

'Vivek is most misunderstood'

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
Not many people know this. But Abhishek Bachchan makes a cameo appearance in Sujoy Ghosh's ready-for-release "emotional comedy" Home Delivery.Sujoy is a mixture of nervousness and thrills. "Abhishek just makes an appearance as himself. He was kind enough to do a very Hollywood-like cameo, whatever that means, and so was Karan Johar who plays himself in my film. Gee, talk about a biographical touch."Now after Abhishek's cameo it will be his dad in Sujoy's next. "I was planning another film, a thriller called Borivili Express with Bachchan Saab. Now I've zeroed in on a fantasy caper that I want to do with him. I'll start scripting it once Home Delivery is out."Sujoy intends to bring elements from several well- known fairytales into the project with AB senior. It would be his first arabesque fantasy since Shashi Kaspoor's Ajooba. Right now Sujoy is totally overpowered by the desire to see Home Delivery perform an encore to the cult hit Jhankar Beats."It's a tough act to follow up. The second film is always much harder. The first time people had no expectations from me. Now they expect another Jhankar Beats from me. That's really unfair. Home Delivery is nothing like my first film. Sure, it's funny.""But it's the emotions that hold the plot together. I'd like people to laugh during Home Delivery . But I'd also like them to cry. If I succeed in bringing a lump in the throat at a time when some directors are trying to bring a lump in other places, I think I've hit home." Sujoy is candid enough to admit the cast worked itself out. "I worked with the stars who were willing to work with me. And boy, am I glad! Vivek's comic aptitudes might have been debatable after Masti . Home Delivery will prove he's our best comic actor. He's also our most misunderstood actor. ""All the rubbish I had heard about him proved to be just that. On the sets he was the most professional guy going. Once the camera switched off he would rush to his van to play with his PS2. All the actors from Boman Irani to Ayesha Takia to Mahima Chowdhary were so wonderful. There was absolutely no tension on the sets." Sujoy wants to get way from doing the expected. "But you've to be like Sanjay Bhansali. You've to keep pushing the threshold every time. Jhankar Beats went much further than I expected. But I found a certain moist quality missing in my first film.""I've tried to remedy that in Home Delivery. This time the screenplay is very complicated. I've given it my best shot. I've lived with Home Delivery for nine months. Now it's time for the delivery."

Kareena opposite Hollywood hunk!

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
Kareena Kapoor is all set to star opposite Hollywood hunk Jared Leto in the first East-West film of her career, "Gandhi Park". To be directed by Palakkad (Kerala)-based chartered accountant-turned-film professional Kolata Tom George, the new crossover venture is due to roll in New York on Jan 20.But the first-time director does not want "Gandhi Park" to be known as "Tom George's film". He says: "It is going to be every Indian's film. It is a film that will highlight the contribution of the global Indian."The cast of "Gandhi Park" will also include Naseeruddin Shah, R. Madhavan and Shernaz Patel. Twenty percent of the film will be shot on north Indian locations like New Delhi's India Gate and Agra's Taj Mahal, reveals George. The film, to be produced by an outfit in the US, has been scripted by the well-known Hollywood screenwriter David Linter. Linter's credits include the Michael Radford-directed Daryl Hannah starrer, "Dancing At The Blue Iguana".Kolata Tom George, who lived in New York for 10 years, is not new to the moviemaking scene. He has already produced a few Malayalam films, including the critically acclaimed "Akale", National Award-winning director Shyamaprasad's adaptation of Tennessee Williams's "The Glass Menagerie".The $9 million "Gandhi Park" could catapult the producer-director to a completely different league. "When the US faced the Y2K (Year 2000 problem) crisis, Indian software engineers stepped in and fixed the problem. Indian doctors and engineers are also in the forefront of life in the US. My film will be an honest attempt to tell the world what Indians are capable of achieving," says George."Too many films coming out of this country these days tend to focus on India's poverty," says George. "They end up giving the world a terribly lopsided view of the country." "Gandhi Park" will have Naseeruddin Shah playing a New York transit system official and Shernaz Patel will assume the role of his supportive nurse-wife. The couple has one daughter, the character to be played by Kareena, a pharmacist and violinist in love with an American (Jared Leto, the star of such Hollywood films as "Alexander", "The Fight Club" and "The Thin Red Line"). Tamil movie superstar Madhavan will play the crucial role of a skilled software engineer who works for Bill Gates.

Aamisha made her relationship with Vikram Bhatt official!

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
After months of playing hide-and-seek with the media Aamisha Patel and Vikram Bhatt have finally decided to make their relationship official. May be it was the threat of Adnan Sami who was reported to have a thing going with Aamisha that provoked the duo to come out into the open. Whatever the reasons, the directors with the distinctive salt-and-pepper mop, sauntered in hand-in-hand with the pretty actress for the premiere of EKEH. And what's more, the cozy twosome smilingly posed for photograph together. Dressed in a short skirt with payals topping her high heels, Aamisha made music whenever she went. And going by the glow of contentment on her face, it was evident that she and her beau were in complete harmony.

And what's more, the cozy twosome smilingly posed for photograph together. Dressed in a short skirt with payals topping her high heels, Aamisha made music whenever she went. And going by the glow of contentment on her face, it was evident that she and her beau were in complete harmony.

Big B illness cost Rs 270 crore

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's sudden illness has not only made his numerous fans a worried lot but also put the Bollywood film industry on the edge. Some film analysts say that if Amitabh sneezes, it sends a chill down the film industry's spine as so much is invested on the megastar in filmdom.Though he underwent a successful operation for perforated diverticula and jejunal perforation last night and his condition is stated to be stable, Bollywood will not be able to heave a sigh of relief till he is back in action as a whopping Rs 270 crore is at stake. The superstar has already delivered four super hits this year and his two new releases are to hit the marquee this month. His fans and the industry are waiting with a bated breath to see how these two ventures fare at the turnstiles. Talking to press, film analysts said the Big B's worth cannot be measured in terms of money and today he is the most saleable star in the entire industry. His popularity is more than the charm of three Khans--Shah Rukh, Salman and Saif--put together at the box office. On December 9, Amitabh's film 'Ek Ajnabee' is to hit the silver screen in which Arjun Rampal and Perizaad Zorabian are also co-starring. His other movie 'Family' will be released on December 21 in which Akshay Kumar, Aryan Vaid and Bhumika Chawla will be rubbing shoulders with him.He is also starring in ten other big films right now which will see the light of the day next year. Besides films, he is busy doing several commercials.Amitabh is also acting in Karan Johar's 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehan', currently shooting in New York. He has fortuitously completed his part in the film. His son Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherji are also in the film, expected to ber released in April next year.In Ravi Chopra's 'Babul', his co-stars are Hema Malini and Salman Khan. Amitabh will also be seen in 'Eklavya' with Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan and Vidya Balan.Maverick director Ram Gopal Verma is also making two flicks-- 'Darna Zaroori Hai' and remake of 'Sholay'--with the Shahanshah of Bollywood in which he is essaying the role of Gabbar Singh. This year saw four films--'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Sarkar', 'Waqt' and 'Black'--in which the superstar made his presence felt, doing some fabulous business. While 'Bunty Aur Babli' earned around Rs 60 crore, Sarkar generated a business of Rs 40 crore. Both 'Black' and 'Waqt' also did some rip-roaring business of Rs 38 crore each in comparison to the amount spent on their making.Plans are also afoot to make KBC-III if Amitabh could spare some time for it. But all this has come to a grinding halt with his surgery and doctors advising him to stay in hospital at least for a week. The situation is similar to that of his hospitalisation after a mishap on the sets of 'Coolie' in 1982.

See why Kareena is so excited

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
It's official. Kareena Kapoor has finally been signed on to play Desdemona in Vishal Bhardwaj's version of Othello. She can't get over the experience of hearing the script. "What a fantastic script!" she gasps."Just like Maqbool restructured Macbeth, this time Vishal has interpreted Othello so powerfully! After making this film Vishal will be among the top three directors of the country. The characters are so well etched. I'm delighted.""Not just my character, everyone is amazing. The dialogues are to die for. Very hardhitting and intense…Lengthwise my role isn't that remarkable. But the characterization is flawless—like Tabu in Vishal's Maqbool . I haven't been so excited about any film recently. I can't wait to start shooting."Vishal who is currently immersed in pre-production work, has transposed Shakespeare's original to the Hindi heartland. Othello according to Bhardwaj will unfold in the dusty merciless terrain of Uttar Pradesh. He starts shooting early next year.Kareena hasn't really left behind Kyun Ki. "I can't disown the experience just because it didn't appeal to enough people. People have liked my sari- bindi look. That's what makes me happy."She has added reason to be happy, as sister Karisma is back with her husband and on holiday abroad. "Whatever makes Lolo happy makes me and my mom happy. Yes we were stressed by happenings in Lolo's life. Today everything seems right again. You can never predict about life." Besides Kareena, Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi and Konkona Sensharma have been finalized for Vishal Bharadwaj's Othello. Ayesha Takia may also join the cast.

Amisha pays tribute to Madhubala!

    [malik.bollywood@gmail.com]
Amisha paid tribute to ethereal beauty Madhubala when she performed the classic Lata Mangeshkar's 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya' from Mughal-E-Azam at the International Film Festival of India, in Goa. Designer Neeta Lulla had specially designed a white Lehenga with a gold sequence embroidered dupatta. The theme for the special act was 'Evolution of cinema from Black & White to Colour'. On asking her about her performance she said, 'Keeping in mind the theme, I thought of paying tribute to one the most pristine beauties of Indian Cinema, Madhubala. It was one of my most wonderful experiences in enacting the classical beauty'
Amisha was at her cerebral best when she addressed the International delegate & film personalities on the 'Globalization of Indian Cinema'. Besides, her larger than life presence at the event, Amisha attended the world premiere of Ketan Mehta's 'The Rising' (English Version). Says Amisha 'This was the first screening and I was so excited to see the reaction of the International. Delegates
