NEW - 21/09/2005 - malik.bollywood@gmail.com As part of its ongoing endeavor to provide maximum comfort and convenience to its valued customers, and in keeping with its non-discriminatory stance, Jet Airways will be the first Indian air carrier to provide an In-flight Safety Instruction Manual in Braille for its visually challenged passengers. To attend to this hitherto un-addressed need, this pioneering initiative has been introduced by Jet Airways, based on a concept of The Association for Blindness and Low Vision. Jet Airways launched their In-flight Safety Manual in Braille over a Press Conference in Mumbai. Much-acclaimed Bollywood star, Rani Mukherjee was the Chief Guest and unveiled the manual and shared her experiences of her performance in the film BLACK. This is probably because of her performance as a blind (deaf and dumb) girl who uses Braille and succeeds in her education in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's BLACK. Mr. Javed Akhtar, and a member of the Board of Directors of Jet Airways also graced the occasion.
