Akshay’s spoof act doesn’t go down well with Adi

Bangkok: Akshay Kumar's IIFA act on Tashan hasn't gone down too well with producer Aditya Chopra. Even though Akshay performed on a medley of his hits that led to the Singh is Kinng final act, he opened with a skit spoofing his last release Tashan.

It is learnt that Akshay made his entry on stage clad in a turban and a long coat. He burst through the ceiling and sliding through a poster that says, 'My last film' and the words 'Flop' written all over it. After crashing through the poster Akshay goes on to humour the fact that Tashan flopped and says, ""Maa meri film flop ho gayi hai ab mein kya karoon? Mera price kam ho jayega, no one will want to work with me... Maa ab mein kya karoon?"

Even though the act was in good humour and Akshay didn't name Tashan, it was obvious which film he was referring to. A source reveals that after Aditya heard about this specific act, called Akshay and told him it was in bad taste.

"Adi heard about the act after the award function got over. He wasn't too happy that Akshay was one of the actors who made fun of his own film. The failure of Tashan hasn't gone down too well with him and he doesn't really want to have any memories of the project."

Apparently, Akki who thought the whole act was done in good humour was surprised to get such a reaction from Adi. "IIFA was full of spoofs this year. Tashan wasn't the only film that was made fun of. The hosts Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani spoofed many films. However, Adi was peeved because Akshay himself participated in the act despite being a part of the cast."

Various sources also add that post Tashan, there have been cold vibes between Aditya and Akshay.

The Yash Raj Films spokesperson maintains, "Nothing of this sort has happened."
